Seth Rogen opened his hit comedy Superbad in 2007, joking to People that since the movie’s release, “no one has made a good high school movie.”
The talented comedian, 40, further backed up his views by explaining that his The Fabelmans co-star, 20-year-old Gabriel LaBelle, said the coming-of-age teen comedy was his friends’ “favourite movie” and his Friends was the actor’s. .
The Neighbors star, who recently expressed that Marvel movies are “targeted” at kids, added that LaBelle’s feelings about Superbad “for some reason never changed.”
Superbad was released in August 2007 and starred Michael Cera and Jonah Hill in the lead roles of Evan and Seth.
The premise of the comedy follows both Evan and Seth, high school seniors preparing for graduation. The two friends decide to party before the big graduation and lose their virginity.
