Heidi Klum opens Thursday’s The Jennifer Hudson Show about her husband Tom Kaulitz’s big plans for her upcoming 50th birthday and what it was like to dress up in a giant worm costume last Halloween.
Klum, 49, was asked by Hudson, 41, about the prospects of a big birthday party when she turns 50 on June 1 and said she had made it clear to her musician husband, 33, that it was a priority.
“I told my husband you have to start, it has to be good,” the German native told Hudson. “Because it wasn’t a big birthday every year … you’re always going to have family and friends, but I thought 50 was a pretty big number.”
Klum continued, “So I told my husband I want a big birthday party right now,” turning to her husband, “Do you love me?”
Hudson mentioned Klum’s famous penchant for Halloween, telling her, “I think you’re the queen of Halloween with the costumes.”

The Making the Cut personality explained the limitations of the costume she worked on with Mike Marino of Prosthetic Renaissance as she was unable to go to the bathroom or move properly in the fancy costume.
“Three hours before I don’t drink, I don’t eat, because what are you going to do?” she said.
Klum continued, “I can’t be, ‘I’ve got to go to the bathroom, guys, get me out of here’ — it’s not possible — I can’t even move my head to the side, I can’t walk here . . . I can’t do anything.” I’m stuck so everything moves like this.”
Klum said she was packed while sweating in the costume at the Big Apple party.
“I was so wet — it was literally like walking, well, it wasn’t a snail track, it was a worm, tinea track, because I was sweating so much,” she said.
Klum said she came up with the idea “a very, very long time before” Halloween, and it was a painstaking process to put the costume together and fit it.
“Because it had to be built, it hung like a foam thing and I had to fit right in,” she said. “I didn’t want a human body either [parts] Because I was there so you know I didn’t want to see any bust size or hip curve so it was tight and I was literally there.
