The TV sitcom star is best known for her role as Sharon Theodopolopodous in the hit comedy Birds of A Feather.

Quirke, 63, starred in the show alongside Linda Robson from 1988 to 1999 and in a revival from 2014 to 2017.

She received her MBE for services to young people, entertainment and charity.

The MBE comes after rumors circulated that Pauline was involved in a feud with fellow Birds of a Feather co-star Linda Robson.

Last year it was reported that the duo were no longer on speaking terms, with claims that at one point things got so heated that the childhood friends had to be separated from crew members during filming at Teddington Studios in west London.

But last May Linda insisted she had “never” fought with Pauline.

The 64-year-old actress previously starred together in the sitcom and despite recent rumours, Linda has now revealed they remain good friends.

Responding to the speculation, Linda explained: “It’s a bunch of old shit that we had a falling out. We didn’t fall out and we never did. I’ve been best friends with her since we were ten years old. We never argued.’

Linda and Pauline recently reunited with their former Birds of a Feather co-star Lesley Joseph to discuss the possibility of a comeback.

Linda, who played Tracey Stubbs in the sitcom, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I had dinner with Pauline at London’s The Delaunay last Friday and it was talked about.”

The classic sitcom originally aired on the BBC between 1989 and 1998 before being revived by ITV from 2014 to 2016 for a one-off Christmas special in 2020.

The close friends – played by Tracey and Sharon Theodopolopodous – have been friends for more than 50 years and have starred together in the 12 Birds of a Feather series and two Christmas specials.

However, Pauline was absent from the 2020 Birds of a Feather special, sparking rumors of a fallout.
