The St. Louis native became the main antagonist as Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stephan’s (Paul Wesley) mother, Lillian ‘Lily’ Salvatore. The character appeared in the show’s sixth and seventh seasons, reappearing as a vampire after presumably having died in 1858.

Annie sadly passed away at the age of 45 on Sunday 29th January after a private battle with cancer. A GoFundMe page for the husband they were complete and his children Freddie12, ozzie9 and Bows4, points out that she was diagnosed in 2020, however, she has not presented her disease and has continued to work on various film and television projects including the beginner.

julie plecthe showrunner of Vampire DiariesHe also posted a tribute via Twitter. “So sad for her. I became a fan of ’24’ and was lucky to have Annie play the mother of two of the hottest vampires in town,” she wrote. “This will finance me for your family. RIP Annie, your beautiful soul. To Annie’s children… Freddie, Ozzie and Archie,” she also said.

“Annie was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2020. She is a private person by nature, and the diagnosis has made her even more. She wanted to protect her children,” reads the message on the GoFundMe page, with the goal of raising money for her husband and children. “She wanted to get better so she could keep working. And honestly, she didn’t want to talk about it. She wanted to live her life , on his own terms, and be with his family,” the statement read.
“Annie lived for her family. About her He loved her job and appreciated her friends, but Steve and the boys meant everything to her. This Go Fund Me is for them. This is how Steve has time to cry without the pressure of having to work. So he can be a dad to Freddie (12), Ozzie (9) and Archie (4) as they navigate a future without their mother and sweet Annie,” he continued the post.
“That’s so they can continue to go to baseball games (Go Cardinals!), take music lessons and play in the minor leagues. It’s to help pay for college. This is how Steve can carry on Annie’s tradition of filling the house with as many full-sized balloons as will fit in the car on birthday morning. It’s to give them time to navigate the life of a family of four without the burden of paying medical bills or funeral expenses. It’s so they can continue to live life in a way they know would make Annie proud.”
