Sunrise presenter Natalie Barr was stunned when host Shaun White asked her about her dog Madonna a year after the dog’s death.
Shaun was hosting a post about how Australians spend on their pets when he asked Natalie how her dog was doing.
After the clip, he said: “I’m absolutely amazed at how much we spend on these puppies and kittens. It’s bizarre.”
Is this the most embarrassing moment of this breakfast TV? The Sunrise reporter asked host Natalie Barr how her dog is doing a year after the death of her beloved dog. Pictured Natalie and co-host David Koch
“Well it’s me and I’m not (surprised),” Natalie replied.
“When we do a story about something that happens to a dog or cat, people are more interested in that than in a person. You just do it. Don’t you think?’
Natalie’s co-host David Kochie replied: “You do. You’re an animal lover.”

Kochie then put his arm around Natalie as Shaun replied: “I didn’t know. I’m very sorry. I don’t know what to say.”
‘Did not you know? We had to put him and Flash (her cat) down, we had to put them down last year too,” Natalie explained.
Shaun apologized as Natalie said: “We all know it’s part of nature, we all know it has to be done. I’m fine with it.”
