EastEnders fans watched Lily Slater take a dramatic turn in Monday’s episode.

The 12-year-old is expecting a child with Ricky Jr. (Frankie Day) after losing her virginity to him late last year.

Lily had previously promised an abortion but told her dad Martin she was keeping him – after suspecting Ricky was the father.

In the touching scenes, Lily (Lillia Turner) confides in Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) that she changed her mind as her abortion date approached.

“It didn’t seem real before today,” Lily explained before Kat shared how she felt about Stacey (Lacey Turner).

“It’s your body, Lil. Your future. Your choice. Because you’re the one living with it,” Kat told her.

Viewers watched as Martin lost his temper with Lily and shouted at her across the kitchen table: “I don’t care about Ricky.” I care about you and the mess you are in. Ricky is not the one protecting Lil.”

After the tense confrontation, she later firmly approached Stacey and Martin in the living room. She said: “I can’t get rid of it. I’m having my baby.”

Stacey then called to cancel the appointment.

The BBC soap took an explosive start to 2023 on New Year’s Day, when Lily’s mother Stacey was left stunned when a doctor discovered her baby girl was pregnant following her hospitalization amid the carbon dioxide leak.

And as fans speculate who the father-to-be could be, EastEnders has finally confirmed who he is.

In earlier scenes, Lily finally found out she was pregnant, while mum Stacey broke down in tears when she broke the wonderful news.

As the young woman dreaded discovering she was pregnant, she refused to reveal the father’s identity, leaving a concerned Stacey to fear she had been cared for by an adult.

The youngster then confirmed that the father is Ricky Junior – the 12-year-old son of Sam Mitchell and Jack Branning.
