“How lucky I am to have had you as my father. You were hilarious, positive and my best friend. No matter what was going on in my life, you always asked me if I was having fun.’

Isla continued, “I know that this pain is going to get worse as the days increase between the last time I saw you, and it’s very scary.”

‘I love you so much. Thank you for being the best dad,” she ended her message.

Isla is said to be very close to her family and has described her upbringing in Perth, Australia as “amazing”.

She was born in Oman but grew up in Perth before moving to Australia with her family.

She and husband Sacha Baron Cohen met at a party in Sydney in 2002 and married eight years later.
