Lisa Marie Presley has passed away at the age of 55.
On January 10, the only daughter of the legendary musician sat in the auditorium at the Golden Globes ceremony and watched with tears of joy as Austin Butler received an award for his role in the movie Elvis.
Three days later, the whole world mourns Lisa Marie Presley: despite the efforts of doctors, it was not possible to save the woman. After going into cardiac arrest, she was taken to hospital and died suddenly without regaining consciousness.
The heiress to the king of rock and roll had a difficult life: she went through a series of addictions to illegal substances, went through four marriages, plunged headlong into religious movements and again returned to secular life. She tried to realize herself in music, but she could not even come close to her father’s glory.
Only towards the end of her life did she find happiness in the family and the memory of Elvis Presley.
“It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the terrible news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known,” Lisa Marie Presley’s mother told People.
