The death of the actor was reported by the Georgian TV channel.
In the mid-60s of the last century, Vakhtang Kikabidze joined the famous Orera ensemble and made his debut in a big movie the same year. The talented and original Georgian was too busy in one creative role.
He tried directing, composing his own songs and was involved in politics. But for the Soviet audience, Vakhtang Konstantinovich still remains Mimino’s favorite. It was this film by George Danelia that became the main calling card in Kikabidze’s career.
Recently, the 84-year-old actor lived in his native and beloved Georgia. He passed away on January 5, 2023, TASS reports with reference to the Georgian TV channel Mtavari Arkhi. The actor will forever remain in the memory of loving friends, relatives and fans. We offer condolences.
