Just days after Ireland Baldwin announced that she is expecting her first child with musician RAC, her mother Kim Basinger has announced that the Irish child will be a girl.
Ireland, 27 – daughter of Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin – revealed her child’s ultrasound on New Year’s Eve in a post, which she simply captioned with a red heart emoji: “Happy New Year”.
Her mother, 69, took to Instagram to share a photo of Ireland’s sonogram photo from 27 years ago with a unique message, before revealing that Ireland is expecting a girl.

The ultrasound image — dated April 6, 1995 — was in the mail, along with a handwritten note that Basinger deciphered in the caption.
“I know it’s hard to read… But in April 1995 I wrote this note on one of my first ultrasounds from Baby Ireland,” Kim began.
It read: “4 white legs and a tail. how I Dr Liu (my midwife) said it was a puppy!” she added.

“This weekend, 27 years later, I looked at @irelandirelandireland’s latest ultrasound and I could swear she has a beagle!” Kim joked.
‘The daughter is like the mother…. and a new baby is coming our way. I’m so looking forward to meeting this little Snoopy in June…” Kim concluded.
Her daughter responded to the post with, “Awwwwww!!!!!!” while the baby’s father, RAC (real name Andre Allen Anjos), added: “Can’t wait to meet her too.”
Answer: “Like mother, like daughter…and a new baby is coming our way. I’m so looking forward to meeting this little Snoopy in June…” Kim concluded
The post comes just a day after Ireland shared a short video to her 681,000 Instagram followers in which she “lays down the law” regarding her pregnancy.
“This will not be a mom blog or pregnancy account by any means. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it wouldn’t be for me,” she said, adding: “Every once in a while I’ll vent and say what I need to say and have a weird sense of relief doing it. ‘
She added, “I know some people in my life are really upset with me, and I really appreciate that … my thoughts. Because I don’t have anything.”

“It’s pretty common – when and if I start showing off, I don’t care if you’re my best friend, I don’t care if we’re related, I don’t care who you are, I don’t care “I don’t care if you’re old, don’t touch me unless you ask,” she said, adding, “You’d be shocked how many people don’t ask.”
She added that the only things she likes to eat right now are Jersey Mike’s subs and grapefruit.

“So if you happen to be a bystander or employee of a Jersey Mikes that I happen to run into when I’m very obviously pregnant and you give me a dirty look or judge me in any way or give me unsolicited advice about charcuterie and turkey and Listeria and all that while you’re pregnant, I’m going to fight you while I’m pregnant in a Jersey Mike’s and that’s not looking good to me.
“I don’t need it now. But I will. Because I die if I don’t have my turkey provolone, like Mike’s way, extra, extra dressing.
Not interested: “If it’s not Jersey Mike’s, if it’s not grapefruit or grapefruit-flavored, I’m not interested,” she said
