The Masked Singer returned on Sunday night with a subtle twist, and it had absolutely nothing to do with the insane show’s wildly successful format.
Davina McCall reprized her role as a celebrity judge alongside Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan and shared with fans as she showed off a dramatic new haircut as season four of the weird and wonderful ITV show kicked off.
The 55-year-old TV personality replaced her usual middle-parted look with loud bangs and inevitably caught fans’ attention as she judged this year’s selection of heavily clad contestants.

Everything changed: Davina McCall divided fans when she showed off a dramatic new haircut as The Masked Singer season four launched on Sunday night
In response to her new look, some have drawn harsh comparisons to Gale Weathers, the fictional news anchor played by Courteney Cox in Wes Craven’s wildly popular Scream franchise.
An amused viewer took to Twitter to share a photo of Cox playing the precocious journalist with the caption, “Davina is giving Scream 2 vibes.”
While a second quipped: “Davina McCall may be a queen but even she can’t get over dissecting a pony with a knife and fork…”

A third added: “Why does Davina McCall look like a Claudia Winkleman version of the emoji?”
However, others praised the presenter for her new look, saying: “Is Davina McCall aging backwards?”
As a second flowed: “Davina McCall. What a body.”

Davina recently admitted that two of this year’s 12 performers, all dressed in extravagant and outrageous costumes, managed to make her cry.
She said: “Absolutely – Jellyfish is an exceptional performer and got us all quite emotional.
Renoster was also very emotional. There are people who draw you in completely.’
She added that the celebrity, who plays Renoster, is “tall and quite humble” and puts his “little hooves” together in one cute motion.
