Candice Warner shares her surprising take on New Year’s resolutions and admits she NEVER keeps them

Unlike most people, who use the New Year as an opportunity to start a clean slate or set some goals, Candice Warner admitted that she has no New Year’s resolution.

The former Iron Lady (37) gave an interesting view on the idea and why she did not commit until 2023.

Candice, wife of Australian cricketer David Warner, said she prefers balance in her life to achieve her goals.

“I never stick to it, so I don’t really have one,” she told the Daily Telegraph about her New Year’s resolutions.

“I believe everything in moderation is the right thing to do.”

This isn’t the first time Candice has talked about “moderation” — the athlete is known to incorporate it into her daily life.

The blonde bombshell and busy mother-of-three said she eats clean and works mean, but doesn’t mind the occasional sweet treat or glass of wine.

“When it comes to food, it’s all about balance,” said Candice.

“I try to eat as clean and healthy as possible, but I have a sweet tooth. If the girls have cookies, I’ll share them,” the mother of three admitted.

“If they’re eating ice cream on a hot summer day, I’ll take it. I like to have a glass of wine with my husband. So everything in moderation. I’m not, “You can’t do that, you can’t have that”. I can’t keep it to myself.’

At the time, Candice said that when it comes to exercise, she enjoys going to the gym or walking with a weighted vest and loves the mental benefits of exercise.

“Last year my focus was on getting stronger and fitter for SAS Australia and now it’s all about maintaining last year’s workload, so having fun training,” explains Candice.

“I walk a lot more, sometimes I put on a 10kg or 15kg weight vest and go for a walk or just work out at the gym. For me, sport is more about what it does to me mentally than what it does to me physically.”

Candice says exercise clears her mind and makes her feel like a “better mother and wife”.

“It’s my time away from the kids, I need that break, and it’s a time when I don’t have my phone with me, it’s just me and my own thoughts and a lot of times I’m thinking there and I’m like : ‘I’m not clouded and can just focus on what I have to do,’ she said refreshingly.

They are now parents to three daughters, Ivy, six, Indi, five, and Isla, one.
