The Junta de Castilla y León has opened online applications for direct payments of 500 euros to families evacuated from their homes because of this summer's wildfires, the regional government said Tuesday.
The payments are meant to ease the impact of the evacuations and offer immediate support to residents who were forced out of their homes as a preventive measure during the 2026 summer fire season.

Only families registered, or empadronadas, in one of the evacuated municipalities can apply. The Junta has set July 30, 2026 as the reference date for that registration.

How to apply
The application period runs until October 9. Requests must be filed through the Junta's electronic headquarters, known as the sede electrónica.
Additional emergency support
The Junta has also set up emergency aid for families who have temporarily lost their main home and need alternative accommodation until their houses are repaired or made habitable again.

Separate funding has been earmarked for local authorities to help cover the costs of housing and caring for people displaced by the fires, according to the regional government.
