Pedestrian struck on highway

According to local television station WYFF, the South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that a crash involving a pedestrian occurred near mile marker 31 on Interstate 26.

FOX Carolina reported that a driver exited his vehicle in the roadway and was subsequently struck by a Toyota sedan. South Carolina highway troopers confirmed the pedestrian died at the scene of the accident.

Law enforcement officials have not yet publicly disclosed the identity of the victim. Authorities have also not detailed exactly how Buckcherry's tour bus became involved in the multi-vehicle crash.

A representative for Buckcherry told the Daily Mail on Saturday that the fatality "occurred before our bus arrived."

The Daily Mail has reached out to the South Carolina Highway Patrol for further comment regarding the collision.

Tour continues following crash

Following the accident, Buckcherry confirmed that their scheduled concert at Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Saturday was expected to proceed as planned.

Buckcherry is currently on its Roar Like Thunder Tour across the US. Its most recent show was in Asheville, North Carolina

"We sincerely appreciate everyone who has reached out with concern and support," the band stated on Facebook. As of Saturday night, the show was still scheduled to begin at 7:30pm local time.

The group is currently traveling across the United States on their "Roar Like Thunder" tour. The concert tour takes its name from Buckcherry's 2025 studio album.

Prior to the incident in Spartanburg County, the band performed on Thursday night at the Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina. Asheville is located approximately 70 miles northeast of the crash site in Spartanburg County, a major transportation hub in Upstate South Carolina.

Band history and lineup

Buckcherry currently features lead vocalist Josh Todd alongside guitarists Stevie Dacanay and Billy Rowe, bassist Kelly LeMieux, and drummer Francis Ruiz.

Todd remains the sole original member in the current lineup. Buckcherry was originally formed in Anaheim, California, in 1995 and released two studio albums before initially dissolving in 2002.

The group reunited around 2005 and achieved major commercial success with their 2006 album 15, which featured popular rock singles including "Crazy Bitch" and "Sorry." Their latest record, Roar Like Thunder, represents the band's eleventh studio album.
