Romero had barely appeared on social media since attending her father's wake at a funeral home in Gijon, a city in northern Spain, while dressed in strict mourning. Almost three weeks after his passing, she posted an update on Instagram to share how she is managing her grief.
The actress shared a series of images showing herself accompanied by friends, doing sports, eating good food, surfing and spending time in the countryside. She explained that engaging in these activities has helped distract her mind from sorrow and painful memories.
Romero said that despite the pain of her loss, she is attempting to face life as her father taught her to do. Displaying a smile in her post, she wrote that life goes on and that they would keep dancing until the end.

She highlighted physical activity and simple pleasures as her primary ways to process her father's death. Romero wrote that her daily routine currently includes plenty of Pilates, pizza, cider, love, surfing and staying at home.
