These are the new trends for hair (expert word)

Two months before the new year, it’s time to learn about the new trends for hair, the styles most in demand in salons and what we will see most on the street. And we do it hand in hand with those who know the most, the hair professionals, who showed their proposals at the 13th edition of the Figaro Awardsthe main appointment of Spanish hairdressers and with international projection.

The pony still reigns

The proposals seen on the Figaro catwalk point to the absolute supremacy of ponies in all their versions: right at eye level, baby scaredcrooked, curly… no one wants to miss the accessory of the year.

curly hair: full color

Curly hair doesn’t let us down, but it takes on more curvy shapes and relies on color to take its expression to the highest level.

Straight and Polished Hairstyles

Straight cuts are gaining ground, in short or midi versions, offering versatility: we’ll see them in a smooth and ultra-polished finish, as well as with a more casual effect and movement in the middle and ends.

luminous blondes

Blondes gain momentum for another season, this time in their brightest version, thanks to subtle golden reflections.

Midi hair with gesture

Medium length hair is refined with soft waves that sublimate the shape. The result? Timeless elegance and a lot of versatility.

Structured cuts and color for them

Among the men’s trends, structured shorts with volume in the upper part and polished finishes with a shiny effect stand out. Although, without a doubt, the great masculine commitment will be the works of color, as an indisputable seal of one’s own identity.

The Spanish Hairdressing Awards, organized by the association Club Fígaro, together with Revlon Professional as the main sponsor, recognize the work of the best creative hairdressers in our country every year. It is an unprecedented event, showing the world the fantastic talent that exists in the sector and placing hairdressing professionals in their rightful place: that of fashion and trend makers.

The ceremony of the 13th edition of the Figaro Awards took place on Monday, October 24 as part of Salón Look IFEMA MADRID, and was attended by personalities from the worlds of beauty, fashion and the media.

The glamour of the Red carpet gave way to one of the most anticipated moments of the event: the parade of the finalist collections. The Fígaro Catwalk, the same where the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid is held every year, showcased the latest hairdressing trends as well as authentic jewelery from creative crafts. The different stagings claimed the power of the total look in fashion: hair, clothes, make-up, posture… Each element adds up to achieve truly impactful results.

Moreover, it is the first time in the history of the Awards that a hairdresser repeats the feat of winning the most valuable award of all, that of Spanish Hairdresser of the Year, something that Carlos Valiente already achieved in 2018.
