I’ve done this look many times while working backstage a few years ago, so it’s not really new. But it’s still a way to have fun and experiment with your style, especially since you don’t take too many risks: you can easily regain your base color with a face dye.

Before applying the bleaching cream, the professional recommends passing a cotton swab soaked in micellar water on the eyebrows to remove impurities and makeup residues, in order to maximize the adhesion of the product and obtain a fairly homogeneous result. She also recommends applying an oily product, such as petroleum jelly or Elizabeth Arden’s famous Eight-Hour Cream (€ 24.50 for 50ml), around the eyebrows to prevent the oxidizer from touching the skin, which could cause irritation.

“I then use a cotton swab and a pipe cleaner to make sure the hairs are well covered, I wait about ten minutes for the installation, then I check that I have obtained the desired shade before rinsing”, explains our colleague.

If your brows are naturally brown or black, you will need to make several bleaches to get an effect lightened eyebrows worthy of actress Maisie Williams, Kim Kardashian or model Adwoa Aboah.

How to recreate the bleached eyebrow trend with makeup?

You can recreate this look with the help of a tinted brow gel. The trick to making the brows disappear is that they have the same skin tone.

To apply it, you really need pass the brush in all directions to cover the entire hair. It is not only necessary to make up the visible areas, but also to cover the roots and the back of the eyebrows. This will erase all the hair and eliminate the shadows.

It is also possible to use the usual concealer to cover the eyebrows. To do this, simply dip a very clean bottle brush into its tube and then brush its bristles to deposit the material. Depending on the desired result, several layers of product can be applied.

“The important thing is to use a concealer that has a creamy, almost foamy texture that is easy to blend, but still has full coverage,” adds makeup artist Jenna Nicole in the pages of NEW BEAUTY.
