Very versatile, they look great on all types of hair, short or long, straight, wavy or curly, loose or gathered. They can also be decorated with beads or colored threads and we have a different and original look in less than five minutes. The baby braids they are made from the birth area, in the middle of the forehead, so that they fall over the face, gather the hair in a ponytail and pull out the two front strands. We can make two traditional braids or two twisted or loose rope braids by dividing each of the strands in half, we twist them separately on themselves using a fixing gel and then twist them together until the end of the hair. Finally, we can add some colored elastic or beads, loosen the hair or leave it to create different looks using the same technique,” emphasizes María Somoza, stylist at Menta Beauty Place (Calle Príncipe de Vergara, 136. Madrid). In any case, the result is a success: “This type of hairstyle with mini braids has a key: it manages to refine the face by strengthening the cheekbones and it looks good in practically all shapes,” says To Be’s Conchi Fernández Aguilar Delgado.
