A few weeks ago Huda Kattan, the famous founder of the Huda Beauty brand brought to light a technique that has been around for some time on TikTok. The latter, called Water Foundation, is based on a simple concept: fill a glass of water, pour a few doses of the foundation of your choice, mix with the brush and apply the mixture on your face.
But what to expect in terms of results? According to Huda: “It’s a technique that should lengthens the hold of the foundation on the skin, prevent it from moving and it should make your skin look better. ”
This is a very tempting program, even if it is true that in the summer many people tend to leave the foundation aside in favor of products that are less heavy on the skin: the bb cream or the concealer.

Mixed results
After trying the method on her face, Huda shares her very mixed thoughts on the subject:
“I have a little more brightness on this side [où elle a appliqué son fond de teint en utilisant la technique]than on this side [où elle a appliqué son fond de teint à sec]. But we have to try the transfer test to see if it’s really worth it. ”
Stroking a handkerchief on both sides of the face, confirm:
“I had a bit of a transfer, a lot of pressure. I think it works, I just think it’s a little confusing, a little gross and a little pointless, but I’ll say it’s a trick that works “

The opinion of a make-up artist
To get an idea of all the opinions published on social networks, Stephanie Flor, make up artist, explained to the media New beauty what do you think of this method. And his observation is not the most favorable: “It’s a waste of product and an unnecessary extra step if you’re trying to get a flawless result.”
Too bad, the makeup was promising …
