5 main trends in lip makeup this fall and how to copy them

Autumn this year started a little later, so we have not yet had time to fully immerse ourselves in the makeup trends of the new season (and, by the way, we wrote about them here) and repeat all the recorded references.

“This season is all about bold, bold lips,” Swedish makeup artist Linda Grädin said in an interview.

We tell you which lip makeup is trending now and how you can repeat it.

This fall, we choose lips between eyes and lips. And bright red. For greater expression and emphasis, makeup artists recommend using a minimal amount of mascara or no mascara at all. This way nothing will distract your red lips. Remember that red pigment can emphasize inflammation, so the tone must be perfect. And the contour should be flawless. If you can play with berry shades and create the effect of kissed lips, violating their natural boundaries, then it is better to follow the classics with red matte shades. First, draw the outlines with a red pencil and then apply lipstick or cream pigment.

Burgundy color dominates not only in fashion but also in beauty this autumn. It goes perfectly with grey, black, milky and pink. And it looks expensive and beautiful on the lips (and at the same time creates the effect as if you went to brush your teeth yesterday). You can use the burgundy tone in lip makeup in different ways. For example, choose more dissolving and translucent textures that will refresh the image throughout the day and leave a soft tint even if they come off. In the evening, on the contrary, it is better to use matte long-lasting lipsticks that will last until the end.

The clean girl aesthetic is slowly disappearing, and with it the desire for perfectionism in everything. Clear evidence of this is the growing popularity of careless hairstyles, grunge makeup and the #blurredlips trend, which has already amassed more than 100 million views on TikTok. “Blurry lips” is a trend that invites us not to control the lines anymore, but to move more simply. How are blurry lips different from Korean lip makeup? Tone selection. In Asia, peach, pink and coral colors are mainly used in lip makeup, but we are talking about more saturated dark berry, brown and burgundy shades.

Reminiscent of petunia, pink is this fall’s big trend from the ’80s. This doll-like hue will give the face a childish and naive look (and perhaps a touch of insanity). You can finish it off with gloss or lip oil. In this way, make-up will bring together nostalgic splendor without losing the spirit of modernity.
