Blush is a major makeup trend. Here are the 5 most popular application techniques you can repeat

Blush is indispensable for make-up. Launched by Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner, beauty bloggers are finding new ways to try them in makeup. This year alone, dozens of product application techniques have emerged, including Sunset blush and Boyfriend blush. In this material we have collected the most popular methods with which you can repeat yourself.

Method number 1. Sunset blush or “Sunset blush”

As soon as summer arrived, the sunset sky-inspired blush app trend went viral on TikTok. And here you cannot imagine a better reference than what nature shows us. Remember the color palette of pink, coral, gold and orange that appears at sunset. These are the colors that can be used for equipment, but in the final version you will only need two: pink and orange.

How to repeat?

  1. Apply a small amount of each product to the apples of your cheeks and cheekbones.
  2. Mix well so that the orange shade turns into pink evenly.
  3. Apply the highlighter to the apples of your cheeks, just above the blush. It is better to choose golden, warmer shades to achieve the effect of iridescent sun rays in the sunset sky.

Method number 2. Boyfriend blushing or blushing like your boyfriend

Boyfriend blush is perhaps the most unusual way to apply blush available on TikTok. This technique is designed to mimic the natural flush that men often get after a short run outdoors. One of the main references for creating such a blush is youth photos of Princes William and Harry. By the way, the same blush was often seen on Princess Diana.

How to repeat?

  1. For this method, a shade of blush similar to your natural color is best suited. It is good if the product is creamy – it will be easier for them to recreate the natural effect.
  2. Mentally draw a triangle from the tip of your nose to your ear and the corner of your lower jaw. It is this area that is designed for applying blush.

Method number 3. W Blush or Blush after a day at the beach

One of the most popular makeup trends right now is the Island Girl makeup or “Islander makeup.” It’s inspired by summer vacations and long days spent at the beach. To recreate it, give your skin a glow and apply blush. This is where the W Blush technique comes in handy. It involves applying the product in a W shape from one cheek to the other, along the bridge of your nose. The easiest way to do this is with a stick product. It’s best to use a shade that most closely mimics your skin tone after a day in the sun (read: slightly sunburned cheeks and bridge of your nose).

How to repeat?

  1. Using a stick or gel blush, draw a line from one cheek to the other along the bridge of your nose.
  2. Use your fingertips to blend the product.

Method number 4. Alphabetical blush or blush in alphabetical order

As the name suggests, you will need knowledge of English, or rather the alphabet, for this technique. This method has been around on TikTok for over a year but has now been popularized by makeup artist Farheen Shaikh. She demonstrated six different ways to apply blush in the shapes of the letters W, O, C, V, L and U. Each method does something different.

Letter K. You already know this method. All you have to do is draw a line of blush from the apples of your cheeks to your nose. This method will give your face a rested look, as if you just came back from the beach.

Letter HE. The product is applied directly to the apples of the cheeks to achieve a doll-like blush effect.

Letter C. Blush should be applied from the area above the eyebrow to the cheekbone.

Letter V. You need to draw two lines, one under the eyebrow and the other along the cheekbone, and connect them to the temple. Eyeshadow and blush will appear immediately.

Letter L.. A vertical line is drawn next to the hairline and a horizontal line is drawn along the cheekbone. This results in a lifting effect.

Letter you.It is drawn on the cheekbones and gives them more volume.

Method number 5. Glazed blush or “Glazed” blush

As long as radiant skin and its main ambassador, Hailey Bieber, are popular, the Glazed blush technique will also be in demand. Our goal is to make the cheeks and cheekbones shine. There are many ways to do this. For example, mix cream blush and highlighter and apply to your face. Or create a blush first and then add shine to it. In any case, it is better to use cream textures for this method.

How to repeat?

  1. Mix liquid blush and a drop of highlighter and apply to your cheekbones and temples.
  2. Mix well with your fingertips.
  3. If you want more shine, apply dry highlighter on your cheekbones.
