5 scents of spring: Mimosa, hyacinth, violet and drop scented perfumes

March – there is a lot in this word. And although it will remain white and gray outside for a while longer, spring is about to start claiming its rights. And we, the editorial office, do not know a better way to bring it closer than new perfumes with traditional aromas of the revival of nature. Choose to your taste: mimosa, hyacinth, violet or… drops.

The Le Couvent brand launched a perfume in a black bottle, as if a bouquet of yellow fluffy balls had been squeezed into it. The perfume so accurately conveys the warm and delicate aroma of mimosa that I want to ask the brand: how? Although we already know the answer, because the author of this composition was our legendary contemporary perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena. Therefore, it is definitely recommended for all mimosa fans.

Another mimosa in the selection, more magical. Rose, jasmine and patchouli add fantasy, sparkle and shine that complete the bouquet. Thanks to this, the aroma turned out to be positive, sunny and truly spring-like.

For those for whom early spring is not about the sun, but about the first trills of birds feeling the wind turning into warming, melted spots on the ground, delicate snowdrops and violets – Violette is suitable. A ghostly, powdery-purple and soft scent, it is very beautiful and delicate, yet timid like a March afternoon.

And here is another work of art by Jean-Claude Ellena, which was already mentioned in the perfumer’s article. The aroma, whose name translates as “Melted water”, smells exactly like that. Drops, blue March twilight, the first puddles where the snow has melted, and somewhere at the very edge of perception – snow-covered mimosa and green tree buds. A masterpiece dedicated to early spring.

And this inexpensive brand has managed to convey a pleasant, sweet and very recognizable hyacinth aroma in its F025. Smells like spring, desire to live and joy. But there is a nuance – there may be a lot of real hyacinth, but these perfumes are still more delicate and not intrusive.
