Ways to restore natural hair color
It is better to entrust the first stage of transition to natural hair color to a specialist. He will do the pigmentation first, then he will do the toning. Pigmentation is a mandatory step. In the process, a red pigment is added to prevent the hair from turning into a green hue later. Pigmentation is done only for the first time. In the later stages of coloring this is no longer necessary.
The most effective way to transition from blonde to natural color is toning without ammonia. The fact is that ammonia dye changes the natural color of the hair, but ammonia-free dye does not. That is, when we apply coloring based on basammonium dye, the regrown roots will not turn red later.
How long does it take to transition to natural color?
This process usually takes time. Moreover, its duration will depend on how fast the person’s hair grows.
What coloring techniques can be used?
There is only one option here – intense toning. It’s typically done on damp hair in the sink, using an ammonia-free product that also doesn’t interact with natural strands.
Which tone should you choose if you want to return to your natural color?

Each individual has their own hair color and tone level. Therefore, when switching to a natural color, it is necessary to choose the one closest to nature. It is also recommended to take a shade one tone lighter. By nature, our hair is prone to fading. This can be seen in girls with blonde hair. The roots are always slightly darker and the tips are lighter. Therefore, an experienced master will always choose the tone of the tinting paint, which is a lighter tone. In this case, you will get an even and noble color.
How long does it take to meet with a colorist again?
It all depends on how long the toning takes. If you properly care for your hair, use special shampoos and masks, the color will last as long as possible. The shade washes out, but it’s different for everyone. If the hair is porous, the product is washed off faster, since the scales are open and the pigment comes out quickly enough. Therefore, owners of such strands are recommended to refresh their shade every three to four weeks. If the hair has a glassy structure, that is, smooth and heavy, coloring, as a rule, takes longer. Therefore, it is sufficient for those with this type of hair to tone every one and a half months.
