In our new section “Help Situation” we tell you what to do in case of various beauty incidents. How to fix a broken nail, revive dried mascara or remove foundation from clothes – we will answer one question in each material. Next up is how to bring broken powder, eyeshadow, blush or highlighter back to life.
One awkward movement and the palette is already on the floor, and with it the mood for the rest of the day. Such a tragedy has happened to everyone at least once in their life. However, the life of the pallet does not end at the moment. Beauty bloggers have long found various ways to revitalize it and keep it going for months to come.
Method No.1
For this method you will need:
— 70% alcohol;
– tablespoon;
– napkin;
– palette knife.
action plan
– Pour the remainder of the powder into a separate clean container and grind the contents to fine crumbs. For convenience, cover the surface with cling film or napkins. If the box falls and most of the compressed powder remains inside, you’re in luck. If half of the product falls to the ground, you will have to say goodbye to it and pick up only the survivors.
– Add some medical alcohol to the crushed powder. The result should be a texture close to the consistency of paste or thick sour cream. If you think it is too liquid, pat the mixture dry with a paper towel; It will absorb excess water.
– Transfer the resulting consistency back into the powder compact and smooth it around the entire perimeter using a spoon or palette knife.
– Press the mixture with something with a flat surface suitable for the shape of the container. For example, the bottom of the cream jar. Leave it under pressure for a day and let the alcohol evaporate.
Method number 2

If you have sensitive skin or do not want to use alcohol, there is another method. But let’s say right away that it is less effective than the first one. For this you will need:
– iron;
– tablespoon;
– napkin;
– palette knife.
action plan
– Take the first step from the previous method.
— Remove the metal container from the powder compact box and pour the powder into it. You can forget about this incident for now.
– Squeeze the powder into a metal container with the help of a spoon, or place an object of the same diameter and a flat bottom on the powder and use it as a press.
— Preheat the iron to maximum temperature and then turn it off. Cover the container with a napkin. While the iron is hot, press it onto the dust container for 20 seconds. But don’t move it.
— Wait until the powder cools and secure the metal container to the case.
Method number 3

The method is suitable for those who use the powder only at home and do not want to restore it to its original appearance. You can always make loose powder from pressed powder.
action plan
— Remove all remaining contents from the box.
– Pour the powder into a blender and press the start button hard several times – this way you will get a fine grind and an airy texture.
– Pour the powder back into the metal container from the box or another empty cosmetic container.
