Beauty fiasco: How did I try to remove facial and body hair with wax strips?

We are sure that everyone has used wax tape at least once. But we still saw people with successful experience. That’s why we’ve selected two of the most unfortunate and instructive stories today. Anya, 23 years old

In the ninth grade, the day before the school photo shoot for the album, I decided that I urgently needed to get rid of the so-called mustache above the upper lip. You have to understand that I didn’t even have hair here, it was a barely noticeable feather. But at the age of 16 it seemed that this was a tragedy of universal proportions. There was no time to register in the hall. I didn’t know about laser hair removal at the time, so I went to the store and bought the most common facial wax strips.

I did everything as written in the instructions and as a result I tore the skin just above the lip. But it turned out that it wasn’t the worst. The next morning I saw a mustache like a famous strongman’s on my face, but not from hair, but from small pimples. Then I thought this was the end and I wouldn’t have any photos. But then she took it into her own hands and applied it with as much concealer as she could. Pimples were still noticeable, so I told everyone at school that it was an orange allergy. Thank god the photographer guessed he had photoshopped the picture and there was no sign of my beauty fiasco on it.

This was several years ago. I had already taken a laser hair removal course, but I did not have time to make an appointment with my master before flying to the sea. When we got to the hotel, the first thing I did was run to the store to get the wax strips. And yes, I didn’t know that you can only shave and not pull hairs during laser hair removal. At that time I was worried about only one thing; there were a lot of handsome guys in the hotel, so it was important to me that everything was okay.

I went with my aunt and she explained to me how to use the strips properly. But something went wrong, and the next week, instead of calmly sunbathing, chatting with men, and not thinking about anything, I covered my bikini area with a towel. The skin turned out to be so sensitive that after my epilation session at home, all the injured areas were covered with crusts. After that, I never used wax tape again.
