Now it’s enough to add the word “Barbie” under any concept, it instantly becomes a trend. Recent evidence suggests it’s a long-time procedure to relax the back muscles and lengthen the neck. This is called traptox (trapezius botox – “botox in the trapezoidal area”). But now they call it “Barbie Botox.”
During the procedure, botulinum toxin is injected into the trapezius muscle; this toxin extends from the base of the neck to the shoulders and upper back. Injections are believed to help make the neck longer and thinner by relaxing the back muscle groups. Because of this effect, the process began to be called “Barbie Botox”.
Recently, American beautician Alonso Martin injected several injections into the trapezius muscles of TikTok blogger Isabelle’s back and neck to create a puppet effect.
It is worth noting that this procedure requires a large amount of botulinum toxin, so it will be quite expensive.
By the way, this isn’t the weirdest use of botox. It is used in the treatment of headache and bruxism. Botox also helps gymnasts sit on the hips and “raise” the hips. We have written in detail here.
