In our new section “Condition help”, we tell you what to do in common and unexpected beauty events. How to repair a broken nail, revive dried mascara or revive cracked lipstick – we will answer one question in each material. Next up – how to remove foundation from clothes?
The first and most important advice is to do this right away. The longer a stain on clothing lasts, the less likely it is to be removed properly and without consequences.
Method one: micellar water
Nothing does makeup removal better than micellar water. And this rule applies not only to the face, but also to clothes. The sequence of actions is as follows:
– pour a large amount of micellar water on a cotton ball and apply to the contaminated area;
– Gently remove the cream from the fabric, trying not to rub it;
– change the cotton pad if necessary;
– wait until the fabric dries, if necessary, wash the thing.
Approximately the same mechanism of action for make-up removal wipes. They need to carefully remove the stain, changing the napkins as they get dirty.
Method two: shaving foam

Kim Kardashian shared this method on her social networks a few years ago. According to her, foundation spilled on clothes is a good reason to be late for any event. Often the shaving aid helps a star. You need to rinse the fabric with water by rubbing it on the stain for 5-10 minutes. Wash the item if necessary.
If the stain doesn’t go away, Kim suggests adding a drop of alcohol to your shaving cream. The stain should come off easily.
Third method: classic
A stain remover is literally a tool we can rely on in our lives because it has never let us down. The main advice is to use a product with a liquid texture. It is better to leave the stain remover pen for later because rubbing it on the fabric may deteriorate its quality.
– Apply the product to the desired area (if the clothes are white, use a stain remover for whites) and leave for 10 minutes. If the thing is in color, reduce the time.
– Put the laundry in the machine and choose a quick wash at 30 degrees.
Method four: dish soap
Dish detergents break down oils, so they work in the same way as oil-based foundation. Apply some gel to the stain for 5-10 minutes, rub gently and rinse under water. If necessary, repeat the procedure and then wash the item.
Fifth method: laundry soap
A foundation stain that does not contain oil in its composition can be washed even with ordinary laundry soap. Wash any trace of the product in warm water. It may be necessary to do this several times before the stain completely disappears from the fabric.
