Spring has not yet begun, and we already feel that the hair is literally asking for additional moisture and nutrition. Why does this happen every off-season and how to choose the right care? We asked the celebrity colorist and founder of hair and scalp care brand Philosophy By Alex Kontier.

Alex Contier
Why does hair require extra care in the off-season?
There are two periods when hair needs extra care. One of them begins in the spring, when after a long heating season and severe frosts, dehydrated and dull hair must be brought back to life. The second period begins in the fall, after three months of almost continuous exposure to ultraviolet light and seawater.
But I think many would agree that autumn and spring are also the best times to refresh the look, create a new color or experiment with style. And bleaching and exposure to hot tools only aggravate the condition of the hair.
How to choose hair care?
An excellent option is hybrid products designed to solve several problems at once. A jug with several functions is both convenient and economical. For example, the products in the Glow+Restore range not only repair but also protect all hair types.

The standard home care plan is as follows:
– apply shampoo and care;
– Spray the hair with a heat protectant spray, apply a care cream to the damaged areas;
– Dry your hair with a hair dryer or naturally;
– once a week we use a mask to completely restore the strands, apply it for 15-20 minutes or leave it overnight, and in the morning we rinse the hair with water.
Which salon procedures should I sign up for?
In the salon, it is best to carry out a professional version of care for the complete restoration of the hair structure. During the procedure, the master gradually applies more concentrated products, thanks to which the effect lasts up to four weeks.
Meanwhile, in the Kontier salon, the brand’s professional care is integrated into all hair coloring services. Procedures are always accompanied by the use of shampoo, care and thermal protective products of the brand. That’s why you leave the salon not only with fresh colors, but with shiny and healthy hair.
