At the 2023 Oscars, Vanessa Hudgens showed up with a black and white manicure that can only be described as “tuxedo nails”. Since then, the design has started appearing on social media with increasing frequency.

What is the essence of manicure under a tuxedo? It combines conciseness, simplicity and modernity. The tuxedo-inspired design features clear, geometric black and white lines. For example, nail artist Zola Ganzorig used two primary colors in an abstract pattern for Vanessa’s manicure.
