The ‘space bun’ and other ‘cool’ hairstyles to wear to festivals

The ‘space bun’ and other ‘cool’ hairstyles to wear to festivals

A few days ago we were able to see celebrities and ‘it girls’ enjoying the beauty (and style) at Coachella. The truth is that the festival season is very close… and we are already thinking about the most suitable looks to go to them! And not only in clothes, but also in hairstyles. Music festivals are a perfect place to dare with original and colorful hairstyles, and today we bring you the best here. How to get them?

space buns

A very practical and easy to do hairstyle that consists of two coiled bows, on both sides of the upper part of the head. Very reminiscent of the 2000s, these messy, spiraling arcs hit hard again, paying tribute to artists like the Spice Girs, Pink, or Aqua singer Lene Grawford, icons of this decade who crafted a style of galactic inspiration.

Currently, the space bun has become a festival chapter that stands out for its freshness and simplicity. Mario Anes, Artistic Director of Cotril Spain, tells us how to achieve Coachella’s star hair: first use a texturizer, as it is important that the hair is polished and a little rough, then make two pigtails with the parting in the middle and give a first round with the rubber. On the second or third twist, pass all the ponytail hair through, leaving half of it anchored and giving it that “bun” shape. Then use the excess part of the ponytail to go around and hide the elastic. Use a few bobby pins or horseshoe clips to open up the shape more and round it into a pompom shape.

mini bubble tails

Mini braids are trending. So why not evolve them by combining them with other proposals. “Mixing different trends results in fascinating updos that are also super easy. These mini bubble ponytails put kids’ updos on their heads, while they blend with the rest of the hair to create a casual and very summery look”, adds Rafael Bueno of Rafael Bueno Peluqueros from Malaga.

These braids are as fun as they are original, as comfortable as they are trendy. “We haven’t lost the ability to have fun, an updo as classic as inverting braids. Part your hair in the middle and create two high ponytails at the side of the crown. Divide each ponytail in half and make two braids in each braid For the result to be perfect, before working add a product that fixes it and gives it shine. Also keep in mind that octopus braids are extra long, if you don’t have long hair then resort to extensions,” says Manuel Mon de Manuel Mon Stylists from Oviedo.

Pleasure and comfort go hand in hand. Also the collected ones that fit perfectly in different situations. “High updos are the star this summer and a bubble ponytail will give us style too. Make a high ponytail and use invisible or thin elastics, as you wish, to create the ponytails. The trick for them to gain volume is that they don’t pull the hairs tight and, once tied, open them more with your hands,” advises Rafael Bueno of Rafael Bueno Peluqueros from Malaga.
