Bangkok has been named the best city in the world for nightlife in 2026 in a global ranking published by Time Out magazine. The capital of Thailand topped the index after the publication surveyed more than 24,000 local residents across 150 cities worldwide.
Survey participants were asked to rate how affordable evening entertainment is in their city, as well as whether the nightlife feels lively, diverse, and safe after dark. In Bangkok, 73 percent of surveyed residents rated their city's nightlife as good or great. A total of 84 percent of residents stated that it is easy to meet people and feel part of the local community in the East Sussex resort town. Brighton also tied with New York for second place in the proportion of respondents who described their city as both lively and diverse and inclusive. Instead, people prefer exploring entire nightlife districts where they can move from one bar to another throughout the evening.
