Anna Kalashnikova criticises actors over child support

Russian media personality Anna Kalashnikova has publicly criticized male actors who take their former partners to court over child support payments.

Speaking in comments reported by news outlet Gazeta.Ru, the artist spoke out against male celebrities initiating legal battles against their ex-wives over financial support for their children.

Her criticism follows legal action involving actor Daniil Vorobyov, who filed a lawsuit against his former partner demanding child support payments for the maintenance of their shared daughter. The legal action attracted widespread attention after reports surfaced that the actor himself owed five million rubles in unpaid child support obligations.

According to Kalashnikova, the behavior of Vorobyov is driven by a search for a mechanism to exert pressure on his former partner rather than genuine concern for the welfare of their daughter. She stated that the actor is using the child in his personal conflict with his ex-partner, asserting that his court petition to change the living arrangements and primary residence of the child is directly tied to this strategy.

Kalashnikova argued that when a legally knowledgeable and media-protected man takes action against a woman who possesses significantly fewer resources, the conflict is not genuinely about who will raise the child better. Instead, she said, it reduces to a question of who can afford to sustain a longer and more expensive legal fight.

Child support claims involving Vitaly Gogunsky

The debate surrounding child support in the Russian entertainment industry has also touched other well-known figures. Recently, the legal representative for actor Vitaly Gogunsky denied reports that the star had refused to pay child support for his 16-year-old daughter.

Gogunsky gained widespread national recognition for his role as Kuzya in the hit Russian television comedy series Univer. Addressing allegations regarding child maintenance, his lawyer stated that the actor fully discloses his financial situation and continues to fulfill all payment obligations to his former wife and their shared child.

Celebrity legal battles and public scrutiny

Kalashnikova is a prominent figure in Russian media, known for her work as an actress, singer, and television presenter. She frequently comments on high-profile social issues and public controversies involving entertainment figures.

Legal disputes over child maintenance and custody rights among high-profile actors often draw intense media coverage in Russia. In many cases, public scrutiny surrounds both the financial figures involved and the motives behind court petitions regarding parental responsibilities.
