Typhoon Dolphin has struck eastern China, putting around 1,000 flights at risk of cancellation as authorities evacuate people, suspend ferries and close tourist sites.

Disruptions across regional airports

Telegram channel Mash reported that Russians may remain in the affected region. According to the channel, passengers scheduled to fly into and out of airports in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou and Taizhou were affected the most.

Forecast and storm trajectory

According to preliminary data, the storm will rage in China until Tuesday. Typhoon Dolphin previously reached Japanese Okinawa and was expected to reach the coast of Zhejiang or Fujian province by the end of the week, bringing heavy rains to the region.
