Family drama For Better and Worse, directed by Ian Deitchman, Kristin Robinson and Rachel Kaplan, is in development at NBC

EXCLUSIVE: NBC is developing the hour-long family drama For better or for worse by creators Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson, Absecon Entertainment by Rachel Kaplan and Universal Television, with whom Kaplan has an all-out deal.

Written by Deitchman and Robinson, For better or for worse will follow the evolution of a couple as they transition between three different stages in their marriage – when they are just starting out, when they have young children, and when they are empty nesters.

Deitchman and Robinson will also serve as executive producers, as will Kaplan.

Most recently, Deitchman and Robinson served as co-executive producers at Universal Television As we see it by Jason Katims on Amazon Prime Video. They have also worked on several other UTV productions including Ordinary Joe and rise also for NBC The fat guy for free form and Almost family for fox. You have to work education at NBC.

Her other TV credits include carnival series (manufacturers) and Z: The beginning of everything (Associate Producers) for Amazon Prime Video. Deitchman and Robinson also wrote the film life as we know itstarring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel and directed by Greg Berlanti for Warner Bros.

Kaplan founded Absecon Entertainment in 2020. Prior to that she was Head of Scripted for Keshet Studios where she Exec produced The baker and the beauty for ABC and Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector for NBC and was involved in the NBC pilot La Brea.

Deitchman and Robinson are repped by Verve, Anonymous Content and McKuin, Frankel and Whitehead. Kaplan is repped by WME.
