Harry and Meghan will be Netflix’s biggest documentary debut to date

The public is demanding more about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from the royal family. The first three episodes of their Netflix documentary Harry and Megan premiered last week and was watched for 81.55 million hours.

The series, which debuted on December 8, now holds the title of the most watched hours of any Netflix documentary in a premiere week. Harry and Megan also debuted at #2 on Netflix’s English-language TV chart and appeared in the top 10 in 85 countries.

Part 2 of Harry and Megan will air on Thursday.

This should not come as a surprise Wednesday still dominating the streamer charts. For the week of December 5-11, the series led by Jenna Ortega was watched another 269.67 million hours and was #1 in 90 countries.

The series has surpassed 1 billion hours of views since its Nov. 23 release, becoming only the third series to surpass that milestone in its first 28 days on the service. Squid Game and strange things 4.

Dahmer – Monsters: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer also surpassed 1 billion hours of views fairly quickly, although it took the series over 28 days to achieve that feat.

Wednesday also caught up dahmer to become Netflix’s second most popular English-language television series of all time (strange things 4 remains number 1).
