Jay Leno suffered burns after an accident involving one of his cars, and after being released from the hospital, fellow comedian and friend Tim Allen gave an update on his health.
To promote his new Disney+ movie The SantasEveryone appeared The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he talked about Leno.
“He is incredible. He is one of those heroes, remember Dead pool Villain who couldn’t feel pain? He’s that guy,” Allen said.
That renovation Alum said his auto shop is near Leno’s shop. He called Leno the day of the accident and since he was in the hospital, Allen left a message.
“He will call back five minutes later,” Allen said.
Leno confirmed he was in a serious accident and told Allen he was “totally burned out” with “third-degree burns on his hands and face and everything.”
Allen asked Leno what he was doing, and the former late-night host told him that he was holding the phone even though it was “really painful” but wasn’t on any painkillers.
“He’s just a wonderful person. He just wanted out of the hospital and it came one after another,” Allen added.
Allen continued, “He said he’s doing well with the Clooney look and he looks really good considering the transplants he has. Today’s picture, it’s amazing what they can do. The hospital did a great job.”
