Samia, a young CPE from Ardèche, discovers her new college located in Saint-Denis. Disciplinary problems, difficult social reality: it is a shock for the young woman. If critical situations are not lacking, he still appreciates the vitality and humor of the students and the advisory team. Well supported by her colleagues, Samia finally adapts to the climate and tries to help Yanis, a lively and intelligent but brash teenager with disastrous consequences…
What memories do you have of your college years?
Great Corps Madame: I went there to have fun with my friends. We were doing silly things, but nothing serious. The lectures did not interest me much. I don’t understand what the equation does…
Did you use your memories to write this movie?
We shot at the college of my assistant director, Mehdi İdir. Both grew up in Saint-Denis (93). That’s why we were inspired in part by our experience. We also spoke with the organization’s CPE. He told us about a student who stole food from the canteen because he had nothing to eat at home. There is violence, but there is also a lot of poverty.
What is most important to you?
I develop myself with cinema and music. And let my wife and children be proud of me.
