Tragic night in Oise. Clément Berthevas, 25, has died in the midst of his Halloween party on Monday, October 31st. Indeed, the person who rose to fame after being named Mister France Picardie in 2021 attended an evening near the small town of Apremont, south of Oise, as our Parisian colleagues noted. In the middle of the night and in a state of severe alcoholism according to the initial elements, the young man decided to walk out of the party. After walking a few kilometers, Clément Berthevas, located near the RD1330 highway between Senlis and Creil, crashed into a car at around 2 o’clock. The driver involved in the accident decided to flee without stopping. Spotted by a roadside driver, the victim was eventually taken care of by the emergency services, who took him to the Creil hospital center. Given the severity of his condition, Mister France Picardie 2021 was transferred by helicopter to Amiens University Hospital, where he finally succumbed to his injuries on the morning of 1 November.
The driver and passenger involved in the fatal accident finally surrendered, the first to the Chantilly gendarmes and the second to the Creil police station. The driver, suspected of causing the death of Clément Berthevas, has been taken into police custody. This disappearance turned the beauty pageant world upside down in France. The election of Mister France Picardie 2022, originally scheduled for November 19 in Beauvais, was also canceled following this tragic disappearance. The Mister France committee paid tribute to the ex-Picard candidate on his Facebook account. “It was the most belligerent state of his life. Among the images he left us, we salute his dedication to the Military Blueberry association, a symbol of memory and solidarity, and his civilian devotion to blood donation. The community, which is always ready to help. The Mister France committee offers its family its sincerest condolences and stands by them.”wrote the example on the social network.
