You make an “appearance” in Plus belle la vie. That’s the word, isn’t it?
Indeed, it is a ghost in the mystical sense of the term. But since I was there for the last two months of filming, it’s much more in terms of time. In fact, Samia’s character only reappears in Boher’s eyes (editor’s note is played by Stéphane Henon). To bid him farewell, he comes back, thin, delicate, sprinkled, with a kind of tenderness, but also with a lot of hindsight. Good job for him.
And for you, maybe a way to actually close the loop?
It’s true that even I have a hard time explaining to myself all the reasons why he left. First of all, I didn’t understand how a mother could leave her child like that. Many things will become clear and illuminated, especially through flashbacks. It’s also a way for my character to have a happy ending.
How did you experience your return to La Belle de mai studios in Marseille?
I had the chance to start 2020 off to a great start, thanks to Céline Cauvy, the press officer at the site, whose videos and interviews we have reproduced for two weeks. I was able to empty my locker room while I was leaving. Everything happened smoothly and progressively. Also when I came back I felt like I had never left. We immediately rediscovered our bond with Stéphane (Henon). Working with him is always easy.
Did you hesitate before agreeing to return?
Yes and no. I actually said at first that it would depend on the texts. From production, these were beautiful. I knew the team well enough to imagine they were telling the truth. That’s why I trusted them. I bought this as a real parting gift. Then I got so many messages from fans regretting my breakup that I wanted to please them too.
