Grégoire Bonnet (Murders in Amiens): “I personally went through a bad time during this shoot."

The interpreter of pharmacist Philippe in Scenes of the Houses on the M6 plays here in Murders in Amiens to see a grumpy and mute cop doing research among the market gardeners of Amiens tonight in France 3, France.

You play as Captain Louis Monnet, a police officer investigating the death. The mystery of a young woman whose corpse floats in a carousel basket. What kind of man is he?

Grégoire Bonnet: A brilliant cop, but morally affected by his assistant’s recent suicide. A tragic death for which he was the subject of an investigation by the National Police Inspector General (IGPN), which he was suspected of being responsible. Like an old, injured bear, he’s aggressive and taciturn.

His new partner, Léa Barnier, played by Joyce Bibring (Charlène in the series) chefs), will bear the burden of this bad mood. For what reasons?

Initially, he is hostile to her existence, regretting that they have given this young girl into their hands. But his teammate’s professionalism and human qualities will overwhelm his admiration and gradually let his guard down. I would also like to add that it was a pleasure to see Joyce, with whom I also stay in touch, as a partner. I discovered an extraordinary actress and woman.

Did you take inspiration from a real or fictional character to play this human-hating cop?

I was inspired by myself. When I’m not well, I’m like Louis Monnet. I am in a terrible mood, I isolate myself and keep quiet. It seems like I was going through a bad time personally during this shoot. So I didn’t have to force the line. (laughs)

What did you like about this role of Louis Monnet?

I rarely have the opportunity to embody such dark characters, and then it was interesting to play his psychological evolution. It goes from dark to light.

We appreciate the charm of the Amiens region with this TV movie. Do you know?

I discovered this fascinating place called the Gardens. 300 hectares of old marshland where market gardening is practiced. I would like to add that the people of Amiens are warm and hospitable people.

This research falls under the theme of Jules Verne, who, although from Nantes, lived in Amiens for a long time. What does this author represent for you?

It reminds me of my childhood and my family like many others. I also have this memory of the quality of the editions in which his novels were published. Those red and gold books, yellowed paper, and fantastic engravings that make us dream.

You are as comfortable in drama as in comedy. Which recording do you prefer?

I like to play anything. But when we travel all year home sceneswe like to get into completely different characters from time to time.

About home scenes, What awaits us in the next chapters?

I can only say that the screenwriters imagined that the couple Philippe and Camille, which I formed with Amélie Etasse, would fast, this would produce some very funny scenes.

Murders in Amiens It airs in France 3 at 9:10 p.m. this Saturday
