The couple is in the UK for the first time since the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last June.
According to Hello!, the couple arrived on a commercial flight, not a private jet; their children Archie and Lilibet did not seem to accompany them on this journey.
Their trip was no secret when the Sussexes issued a press release announcing their visit last month.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, are delighted to visit several charities close to their hearts in early September,” the statement said.
During their visit, Harry and Meghan will travel to Manchester for the One Young World Summit on September 5. The Duchess of Sussex will advise the organization alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Virgin businessman Sir Richard Branson and celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.
The Sussexes will also take a short break in Germany to attend the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 One Year to Go event before returning to London for the WellChild Awards on 8 September.
It is unclear whether the couple is considering visiting the Queen, who is currently spending the summer in Balmoral, Scotland. The 96-year-old monarch has canceled several matches in recent weeks due to health concerns.
After Meghan Markle’s explosive remarks revealed in an interview with Cut magazine, the Sussexes are unlikely to be accepted by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Indeed, the two brothers who were once very close have drifted apart since Harry decided not to be tied to the royal family anymore. The couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey on American television only fueled the fire.
