Nothing, so we take our troubles patiently and cross our fingers to make sure everything happens when I come back with the kids a little later”. When the big breakup finally came and the entire family was able to settle on the island, Marie-Alix relied on one of the great disappointments she had to face.
“Nothing is working”
Yesterday, on the morning of Tuesday, July 26, the mother of a large family said that she had therefore arrived in Saint-Pierre, a port city in the southwest of the island of Reunion. “I don’t know anything here, except for the photographs, what I’ve been told… Everything is new, the palm trees, the sea, the road, the style of the people, a bit of the language, because there is a lot of Creole. It’s really warm, the nature is really beautiful, the colors are flashy,” he explained. Apart from that, the family car had to drive it to the garage without relying on it when it was newly bought in mainland France…
“It turns out that one of the reunion scourges is stray animals. We saw especially cats and dogs on our street. Looks like a stray dog with a good idea to get under our car from the axles, get in from the engine level and absolutely gnaw all the wires of our car. Which explains why he no longer has any information, the gas tank is empty and nothing is working,” he explained exhaustedly from the beach. So it will take patience to be able to recover the car as he explains. “I don’t know how we’re going to do it (…) We may have to rent a car, but frankly, it was never planned in the program. Having intended to show off since my early days here, I can say that this is a really cold shower at this level. Because we can’t do anything without a car where we are,” he concluded by acknowledging that he was “lost”.
