Beijing Express (M6) – Fanny and Jérémy: "We were far from dreaming that we would go this far."

What prompted you to make this epic?

fanny: We’ve been big fans of the show for ten years. We’ve been waiting for our two daughters to grow up and for us to finish fixing our house to sign up for the casting.

Jeremy: My wife ! I love the program, but I would never have committed without it.

Have you ever participated in such competitions?

fanny: Never ! The only trip we took was for our honeymoon, which was a road trip across the western United States.

Jeremy: This is incomparable. This is the only great adventure!

How did you find the race? Hard ?

fanny: Yup. Both morally and physically. Beijing Express is 24/7 stress. You have to be motivated to keep going.

Jeremy: And welded! Fanny has been my driving force throughout our journey. It helped me a lot in not giving up.

Étienne has decided to leave the game, putting an end to his partner Vanessa’s adventure. Have you ever wanted to return to your hometown?

fanny: We thought about it. But only for a few minutes… Beijing, we dreamed of it. So there is no way to give up.

Jeremy: The emotional lift has been severe at times. In those moments, we sometimes say to ourselves, “Stop! Very difficult. We stopped. And a minute later, who knows why we got up and stood up.

What did you, who have been together for fifteen years, learned from each other during the competition that you did not know?

fanny: Jeremy is naturally shy. In general, he does not dare to approach others. During the game, he took it upon himself, especially knocking on the doors of the residents. In tests, he also showed more than once that he has a strong mind. I’m proud of him.

Jeremy: Me too ! At first, I was afraid that this expedition would be too physically difficult for him. I was wrong. Fanny has outdone herself. It blew me up.

And in episode 6, when Stéphane Rotenberg announced to you that you were going to change your partner temporarily, what was your reaction?

fanny: This was the worst thing that could happen to me. I’m totally lost without Jeremy.

Jeremy: I was a little scared for him, but I was relieved when I saw that he was gone with Lucas. I thought that big guy would take care of her and help her carry her bag.

fanny: The race with him was completely different. Lucas is a big competitor. I was surprised.

Until then, you have never participated in a final duel. We can say that you are a warrior too!

Jeremy: Yup. Now…

fanny: For us, Beijing Express is first and foremost a human adventure. Perhaps that is why our enemies have chosen so far to save us from this delicate test.

Jeremy: Definitely! We were far from dreaming that we could go this far.

fanny: Whatever the country, we want to explore them all.
