“Bookie” at Max renewed for season 2

Sports betting reopens after Max extends Bookmakerwith Sebastian Maniscalco, for a second season.

The renewal comes two weeks after the season finale of the series, which stars Chuck Lorre and Nick Bakay.

The series, which premiered on November 30, follows bookie Danny (Maniscalco) as he and his partner, former NFL star Ray (Omar Dorsey), travel through Los Angeles to keep their illegal sports betting running.

Season 2 will probably feature Danny [SPOILER ALERT] can win back the love of his wife Sandra, played by Andrea Anders, after his Super Bowl victory seems to have torn them apart, and Ray must deal with the fallout from his mother’s wedding, where the groom seemingly died at the altar.

Produced by Warner Bros. Television, Bookmaker Also starring Vanessa Ferlito as Danny’s sister Lorraine, Jorge Garcia as the reluctantly reformed drug dealer and football expert Hector, and Maxim Swinton as Sandra’s ten-year-old son.

Charlie Sheen also reunited with Lorre for a few appearances.

Lorre and Bakay produce alongside Maniscalco, Judi Marmel and Andy Tennant, who directed several episodes.
