Costume Designers Guild Reveals 2024 CDGA Nominations: ‘Barbie’, ‘Oppenheimer’ and More

The Costume Designers Guild has compiled the nominees for the 2024 awards.

The two highest-grossing live-action films of the year: Barbie And Oppenheimer – will compete in the Excellence in Science Fiction/Fantasy and Historical Film categories, alongside awards season favorites such as Killers of the Flower Moon, Poor Things, Maestro, May, December, Saltburn and others.

Below is the full list of nominations for Film, TV, Short Costume Design and Costume Illustration. The 26th CDGA ceremony will take place on Wednesday, February 21 at NeueHouse Hollywood.

Barbie‘s Jacqueline Durran will take on the costume designers behind it haunted house (Jeffrey Kurland), The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (Trish Summerville), The little mermaid (Colleen Atwood & Christine Cantella) and Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire (Stephanie Porter).

OppenheimerEllen Mirojnick will compete Flower Moon Killer“Jacqueline West, Mark Bridges” Master, Janty Yates and Dave Crossman Napoleon and Holly Waddingtons Poor stuff.

The third category on the big screen – excellence in contemporary film – is discussed American fiction (Rudy Mance) against it May December (April Napier), Nyad (Kelly Jones), Renfield (Lisa Lovaas) and Salt burns (Sophie Canale).
