See who became a sports reporter!

Snoop Dogg will join NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics this summer. The rapper will be on hand to provide regular coverage of the primetime show, which premieres July 26 on NBC and Peacock.

“I grew up with the Olympics and love watching the incredible athletes bring their best to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication and the pursuit of greatness,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement. “We’re going to have some great contests and of course I’m going to bring that Snoop style into the mix. This is going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned and informed. Let’s take these games to the next level, celebrate them and make them memorable, beat the competition and let the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympian LOVE, you know?

“Snoop is already an Olympic gold medal commentator, generating tens of millions of views for his highlight commentary on Peacock from the dressage competition at the Tokyo Olympics,” said Molly Solomon, executive producer and president of NBC Olympics Production. “That performance alone landed Snoop a job as our special correspondent in Paris. We don’t know what’s going to happen every day, but we do know he’ll bring his unique perspective to our reimagined Olympics prime-time show.

Snoop is expected to speak with host Mike Tirico and give his “unique take on what’s happening in Paris.” He will explore the city’s landmarks, attend Olympic competitions and events and visit the athletes and their friends and family.

NBCU’s coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics is scheduled for July 26-Aug. 11. NBCU owns the US media rights to the 2032 Olympic Games, which will take place in Paris (2024), Milan, Cortina (2026), Los Angeles (2028) and Brisbane (2032).
