Mike Nussbaum, a veteran film, television and stage actor, died Saturday at the age of 99 at his home in Chicago of natural causes.
His daughter Karen said he had been in hospice care for a year. He died a week before his 100th birthday.
Nussbaum was one of the oldest active actors in recent years and had a major presence in the Chicago theater scene. His credits include Gentle Rosenburg Men in black and Bob Drimmer in it Deadly attraction.
Film credits included House of Games, Changing Things, Desperate Hours, Losing Isaiah, Steal Big, Steal Little, Dirty Work, Osso Bucco, Dragging, Tom of a Lifetime and more.
His TV CV is characterized by appearances in Frasier, LA Law, The Commish, The X-Files, Early Edition, Cupid, The Chicago Code, The Equalizer and Spenser: For Hire, amongst other things.
No memorial plans have been announced.
