Ingo Rademacher told his followers on Instagram that he was struggling with “some mental health issues” after he was “thrown out of prison”. General Hospital “for my political views.”
In an Instagram post with a photo of Rademacher in an ice bath, the former soap actor said he “has been identified as my character on General Hospital for decades and I could have been there and would be there for many decades to come be.” Revengemaker played Jasper. “Jax” Jacks General Hospital since 1996.
That changed in 2021 when Rademacher — an outspoken critic of the effectiveness and regulations of the COVID-19 vaccine — refused to get the mandatory shot and was eliminated from the ABC drama as a result. Soon after, the actor slammed the Disney-owned channel with a sweeping civil rights lawsuit on constitutional grounds. At the time, Disney had one of the strictest vaccination policies of any Hollywood studio and most major companies.
The lawsuit was settled in June when a Los Angeles Superior Court judge agreed with ABC that the actor’s resistance to the vaccine was based on health reasons and not his religious preferences.
Rademacher told his followers he would appeal.
“I feel much better now, but the first year was hard,” Rademacher wrote on IG.
