David Harbor gives another taste of the final season of strange things As the Netflix sci-fi series prepares to film its fifth season, production will soon resume after WGA and SAG-AFTRA signed agreements with the studios.
During an appearance at Motor City Comic Con, Harbor was asked about a possible sixth season of the series, with the fan unaware that Netflix had already targeted season 5 as the final one.
The actor, who plays Jim Hopper on the streaming series created by the Duffer brothers, shared the news with the audience at the panel and hinted at what viewers can look forward to.
“The beauty of this is that there is a real ending — things are going to end in a very real way,” Harbor teased.
Harbor added that the London play could use the plot, noting that the plot that began in the main series “With the Upside Down” is “a complete story and will end in the final episode of season five.”

Harbor has already shared what fans can expect from the final season strange things I’m talking about the “moving” ending and the rich writings.
“They’re great as always,” Harbor said of the scripts on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast. “They keep outdoing themselves, these current fancy writers, the Duffer brothers.”
He later said: “It’s quite an undertaking too.” I mean, the set pieces and the things in the scripts that we’ve seen are bigger than anything we’ve done in the past.
