SAG-AFTRA said the tentative deal with the studios is worth more than $1 billion over three years, adding that it has “extraordinary scope” and “unprecedented terms.”

The union said full details of the agreement would only be released after review by the SAG-AFTRA National Council.
Speaking earlier today, the AMPTP called the deal the “biggest contract win in the union’s history” and an agreement that represents a “new paradigm”.
“We are pleased and proud to announce that your Television and Theater Negotiating Committee today voted unanimously to approve a tentative agreement with the AMPTP,” SAG-AFTRA said in a statement to members. “From November 9 at 12:01 am. PT, our strike is officially suspended and all strike lines are closed. We will be contacting you in the coming days with information about festive gatherings across the country.”
The union added: “With a contract worth more than a billion dollars, we have reached an agreement of extraordinary scope that includes minimal compensation increases, unprecedented consent and compensation provisions that protect members from the threat of AI, and a streaming – Introducing participation.” Bonus for the first time.
